In this post, I share how walking into a physiotherapy clinic as a patient transformed me into a serial entrepreneur. During my 30s, between 2015 and 2020, I visited multiple orthopedists, underwent numerous x-rays and MRIs for persistent injuries, yet results were elusive. I was often told everything was normal or simply “age-appropriate” degeneration with little hope for improvement. After investing significant time and money, I felt stuck—left wondering whether any relief was truly due to treatment or just the body’s natural healing.
That’s when I discovered physiotherapy. Until then, I had never truly appreciated the role of these professionals. I had seen them only from afar—either working with elite athletes or perceived as peripheral in everyday healthcare—classifying them under “paramedical” in India didn’t help. I never recognized their immense potential to help people like me, who spend long hours at desks and need practical support to maintain health and fitness in daily life.
My first visit left me skeptical, to the point where I thought it might be a rip-off, so I walked away. But when the pain persisted, I returned; what struck me was their approach—no painkillers, no surgery, only self-discipline backed by science. This aligned deeply with my core values.
I experienced the benefits firsthand, then encouraged family members who could afford it, followed by those for whom cost was a concern. What surprised me was their ability to see the disproportionate value they gained from physiotherapy. Seeing this impact, I hosted wellness events for my team of over 50 employees, where I observed young colleagues struggling with the same issues I faced years earlier. I wanted to help them and more.
This journey of awareness and personal transformation inspired me to launch O2D3—an innovative startup dedicated to helping a larger portion of humanity stuck in jobs that cause misuse, overuse, and no-use of parts of their body, reclaim mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality of life through accessible, technology-enabled physiotherapy solutions.
